The Old Wye Bridge in Hereford will re-open to traffic from today.
The bridge has been closed since July last year when temporary emergency active travel measures were introduced.
It follows the expiry of the government’s temporary legislation which means the council cannot extend the measures.
Herefordshire Council hasn't ruled out introducing a permanent closure in future following a rise in walking and cycling in the area.
The original lining and parking bays on Broad Street and Bridge Street in the City will also be reinstated.
