A Christmas Light Switch On ceremony will not be held in Leominster this year.
In a statement, Leominster Town Council said: "Following concerns about rising cases of COVID-19, Leominster Town Council have made the difficult decision not to hold the Christmas Light Switch-On event planned for 27th November."
"As space in Corn Square is very restricted, the well-attended Christmas Light Switch-On presents more of a risk than other planned events. The lights will still be on each evening from 27th November until the 6th January."
No switch on event was held last year due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The council did confirm the Victorian Street Market will go ahead on 11th December.
