Hereford City Centre will get new Christmas lights this winter.
Hereford City Council has just signed a contract for the annual Christmas Lights with Festive Lighting.
In a statement, the council said: "The lights will brighten the City this coming Winter and will be of a new design with changing colours, and the plans have been coordinated in partnership with the owners of the Old Market shopping centre and Maylord Orchards, ensuring Hereford receives a unified theme across the whole centre of the city."
The contract takes advantage of savings from using low energy technology and will be more cost-effective than previous iterations, resulting in no increase to the cost of the Christmas Lights.
The switch-on will take place in High Town on 20th November with Sunshine Radio.
