South Shropshire MP Stuart Anderson has urged Shropshire Council to rethink its rejection of Teme Leisure’s funding proposals, warning Cleobury Mortimer’s leisure centre faces closure.
The MP said the centre is a vital hub for sport and community life and criticised the council’s handling of the decision, which shocked staff and residents.
He’s called on both the council and government to release support funding to help secure the facility’s future.
