A man has been sentenced to two years for drug offences in Telford.
On Friday 14 May Brian Sasa, 20, of Long Ley, Heath Town, was sentenced to two years in a young offenders institution for possession with intent to sell Class A drugs following a trial at Wolverhampton Crown Court.
Sasa was arrested following a vehicle stop on Junction 4 of the M54 at around 8am on Thursday 14 June 2018. Police found approximately £780 of heroin and cocaine in his pockets along with a number of phones. Once Sasa was in custody officers discovered he was wanted on suspicion of murder following the death of Keelan Wilson. He was arrested for murder before being transferred to West Midlands Police custody and has since been convicted and sentenced to 17 years.
Superintendent Jim baker said: “I am pleased to see an obviously dangerous man and a large quantity of drugs taken off the streets which we hope will disrupt county line drug dealing in the area.
“Tackling drugs and organised crime is a force priority and we will continue to relentlessly pursue those involved in these offences and the associated harm such as criminal exploitation, cuckoo-ing and street violence.”
“The officers in this case did a fantastic job in identifying the suspicious vehicle and apprehending Sasa, therefore aiding our partners at West Midlands Police.”
