A man in his 70s has been rescued from the River Wye in Hereford after fire crews were called out overnight.
Hereford & Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said teams were alerted to reports of a person in the water near Victoria Bridge at 3:15am this morning.
Crews from Hereford, Ewyas Harold and Fownhope, including Hereford’s water first responders, attended alongside specialist boat crews from Hereford and Worcester, and the Service drone from Ledbury.
The man was safely rescued from the water and handed into the care of paramedics, with police also present at the scene.
The incident was declared over just after 6:30am.
