M5 closed at Gloucester after body found

The M5 has been closed at Gloucester after a body was discovered.

Police have closed the motorway in both directions from J12 Quedgeley / Hardwicke to J11A Gloucester.

The incident was reported shortly before 4.10am today.

Officers attended the scene, on the southbound carriageway around a mile north of Gloucester Services, and have closed both sides of the motorway while the body is recovered and a serious incident investigation takes place.
