A proposed Welsh law to make it illegal for politicians to lie during elections is facing strong criticism in the Senedd.
Members have warned the bill contains “extraordinary” powers that could limit free speech and lacks clear definitions of what counts as false or misleading statements.
The Welsh government says the legislation aims to strengthen democracy, but it would not come into force until at least 2030.
