The 24-hour closure of the B4361 Coronation Avenue in Ludlow for repairs to Corve Culvert has been extended until 18 September.
Shropshire Council says delays were caused by the discovery of a disused gas duct, but the final concrete slab has now been poured.
Waterproofing and resurfacing will follow, with a diversion in place until the road reopens.
Pedestrian and cycle access is being maintained.
