One of Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service's longest serving members of staff has headed off into retirement after more than four decades of service to his community.
"I've said farewell to John Chance the On-Call Watch Commander at Ewyas Harold after a staggering 45 years' service." said Chief Fire Officer Jon Pryce.
"John is an HWFRS legend and the epitome of community service, professionalism and dedication.
