An isolated electrical fire at Leominster Primary School was reported yesterday, after the end of the school day.
The building was immediately evacuated and the situation was quickly contained by the Fire Service.
Following the incident the school planned to reopen today, but this morning there were reports of an unpleasant smell and adverse reactions to remaining smoke fumes.
The Head and Chair of Governors made the decision to close the school today as a precautionary measure. A full Health and Safety assessment and full clean has been carried out today.
Leominster Primary School will reopen tomorrow.
The laptop trolley and electrical equipment involved in the incident were PAT tested in August 2017, are being disposed of and will be fully replaced.
