A key road in Ludlow is close for a month for a wall to be demolished and reinstated.
Vegetation will also be removed in the section of Linney, with the work taking place between 8am and 4pm from March 3 to April 4. A closure will be place because the area will be unsafe while the wall is being dismantled and rebuilt.
The “hard” closure will start at Evatt & Bullock Co and will end around 30 to 40 metres from that point, giving room for material storage.
However, there will also be other areas that require a daytime road closure once the main work has ended, which will be determined when the vegetation has been removed.
Driveway access will be maintained, while pedestrians will still be able to walk along the Linney and the pathway that rises towards the castle.
A full diversion route will be in place for motorists, which can be viewed via Shopshire Council’s interactive roadwork map.
