Junior Doctors Strike: Services in Shropshire impacted

Junior doctors in Shropshire Herefordshire and Worcestershire have a begun a walk out for 96 hours - as their union, the BMA, calls for a 35 per cent pay rise.

It claims three members would earn £66 between them for taking out someone's appendix.

Bosses at NHS Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin says its services will be impacted between now and Saturday morning,

People are asked to call 111 and visit the NHS website for their needs.

Meanwhile, NHS Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS Trust said a very small number of clinic appointments within some of its mental health services may need to be rearranged - although overall the impact on our services will be minimal.
