The ticket office at Hereford Railway Station was broken into on Sunday morning.
British Transport Police said: "Police were called to Hereford railway station on Sunday after reports of a concern for welfare for a man who had broken into the station.
"Officers and paramedics attended and the man was taken to a place of safety."
The ticket office was temporarily closed with rail passengers accessing the station via the side entrance.
It has since re-opened.
