Proclamation ceremonies took place in Herefordshire and Monmouthshire publicly confirming King Charles as the new monarch.
The traditional ceremonies took place including in Hereford, Leominster and Abergavenny.
Many crowds gathered outside of Hereford Cathedral to witness the proclamation, an occasion that will be long remembered by those who attended. The bells of Hereford Cathedral chimed joyously as officials left Cathedral Close after the proclamation of Charles III’s accession to the throne.
In Leominster, the proclamation was read by the town mayor.
