Hereford Cathedral will introduce its Tower Tours this month.
The tours were given a two-year break due to Covid precautions.
Visitors can climb the tower’s 218 steps for some of the finest views of the city and beyond.
Tours include a visit to the Lantern Gallery, and the bell-ringing chamber, with a set of panoramic interpretation boards to help understand the views from the very top.
Graham Bennett, head of the Tower Tour Guides, is delighted: “I find it a privilege and a pleasure to be a tower guide at Hereford Cathedral. It is a privilege to have access to some of the hidden recesses of the Cathedral, and a pleasure to show them to visitors. We get to see how parts of the Cathedral were built and, as well as the views from the top over the city and into four counties, we have stunning views of the interior of the Cathedral on our way up.”
Tours will resume from Saturday 16th April 2022.
