A man has died after falling from the Great Western Way Bridge in Hereford.
Police, fire and ambulance services were called to the concerns for the safety of a man who is reported to have fallen from a bridge on Great Western Way at 6:19am.
Officers attended and the man was sadly pronounced deceased. Police are conducting enquires at the scene and the coroner has been informed.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: “On arrival crews found a man lying on the ground and in cardiac arrest.
“Police officers had commenced CPR which ambulance staff took over as well as administering advanced life support.
“However, it sadly became apparent that nothing could be done to save him and he was confirmed dead at the scene.”
A full cordon will remain in place for much of the morning.
