More than 450 people will don their trainers for a mass walking festival later this month.
The "Shropshire Way 80K" takes in some of the finest parts of the Shropshire hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the route is 80km (50 miles) in length with the aim being to complete the circuit in less than 24 hours.
Joining the Mighty 80K is the 42K "Mammothon" and the 21K Half Mammothon so there is something for a range of abilities to get involved with and enjoy the stunning Shropshire Hills.
Jade Marriott-Lodge, Marketing Manager at the Centre says, "Preparations are well under way for this weekend and we are really looking forward to it. Following the volunteer training evening last week, we are now putting finishing touches to the plans to welcome everybody on Saturday. We have locals taking part as well as people that have never visited the area before so we are looking forward to sharing our special landscape and delicious food with them. This event has a great atmosphere, from beginning to end and at the checkpoints along the route; everyone is cheering the participants on and willing them to do well. It is great to see so many people complete their personal challenges and we look forward to another busy event following the difficult year everyone has had".
The Shropshire Way 80K Festival will take place on Saturday 14th August.
