Flooding closes roads as water levels rise

A number of roads are closed this morning due to high flood water.

Roads

• Flooding has closed the A443 Lindridge this morning.

• The A40 in #Herefordshire is closed eastbound between the A466 (#Monmouth) and B4164 (#Whitchurch) due to a landslide that has encroached into the carriageway.

• Duck pond from Shobdon and by Kingspan flooded but able to pass.Pembridge is out just before the bridge, not able to pass in a VW T-cross at 6am.

• Reports of lorry in a ditch at Leintwardine.

• West end (Pembridge end) of the village is currently (7:15am) passable but water is likely to rise over the next few hours.

• The A438 (Hereford to Ledbury Road) closed near Tarrington due to flooding.

• Flooding outside Droitwich High School

• B4197 Ankerdine Hill, Knightwick (by Talbot) - closed.

• A448 Chaddesley Corbett - closed.

• Mill Bank & Jubilee Bridge, Fladbury - closed.

• Brook Lane, Cropthorne - closed.

• Eckington Bridge has been closed.

• Road is closed at Newnham-Bridge A443 junction with A456 - River Teme has broken it's banks and flowing onto the road.

• Cancellations on Transport for Wales between Wrexham General and Shrewsbury due to flooding at Gobowen.

School Closures

• Ivington Primary CE school and pre-school are closed today due to the lanes being flooded around school.

• Lindridge St Lawrence's CE Primary School in Tenbury close due to flooding.

• Droitwich Spa High School & Sixth Form Centre closed students in Year 8 and 9.
