A leading family centre in Herefordshire has more than £400,000 of funding from The National Lottery Community Fund.
The Hope Family Centre, based in Bromyard, has been awarded £490,384 for their Restoring Resilience Together project.
The scheme is led by head of services Heidi Mulholland which will fund additional services for the benefit of the local community.
The Hope Centre is well-known locally as a go to place when help is needed quickly and easily.
Its friendly and experienced team of staff and volunteers will deliver support for domestic abuse, food security, mental health, finance and children and families to all members of the community.
The outcomes the project will achieve over time include reduced social isolation, improved connections within the local community to services and support.
The project aims to have a positive impact upon people’s wellbeing and mental health, create a more resilient community with a sense of connection and engagement, and an improvement in people’s confidence and a reduction in anxiety and depression.
Chief executive Sarah Eardley, said: “As a Centre with a long and successful history of providing community support, we are delighted to have won this funding for Bromyard.
“Rural areas are often expected to rely upon services and support that are further afield and we believe this award recognises the value of locally delivered services. It is great news!”
The HOPE Family Centre has provided services for Herefordshire and Worcestershire residents since 1999.
The Centre works alongside key partners in order to deliver support on a wide range of early help and intervention.
Its services include Early Years Education; Bromyard Children’s Centre; a Child Contact Centre; Talk Community Hub; a Community Café and facility and venue hire for local businesses and organisations.
