A number of roads have been left flooded following heavy rain.
The following roads have been blocked or closed due to flooding or accidents:
- Flooding on the A4113 Leintwardine to Walford.
- Difficult driving conditions due to flooding on routes out of Pembridge.
- A Sunshine Radio Jambuster has also reported flooding on the A438 heading west out of Hereford.
- Welsh Street in Chepstow has been closed due to a sink hole.
- Drivers in Worcestershire are advised that the link road from the M5 northbound at junction 4a onto the M42 northbound (Catshill) is expected to remain closed into this morning’s peak traffic period today (12 January) following an HGV fire last night.
- There are delays on the A438 at Eastwood #Herefordshire following an RTC. Emergency services are dealing, but please avoid the area and consider an alternative route.
- St Julian's car park in Shrewsbury is closed due to flooding.
- New Street in Upton is closed from Old Street to Upper Hook Road because of flooding.
- Walcot Lane in Drakes Broughton has been closed due to flooding.
- In Gloucestershire, Hook Street in Berkeley is closed due to flooding.
- The M48 Severn Bridge is closed due to strong winds.
- C1098 #Madley to Bridge Sollars, Road Closure for flooding, please avoid the area is possible.
West Mercia Police is reminding motorists to drive to the conditions.
Rail services have also been suspended due to flooding in Ledbury.
Heavy rain is set to fall for most of the day with a yellow weather warning in force until 9pm.
