The West Mercia Police and Crime Commissioner has praised West Mercia Police for their swift work in bringing a murderer to justice.
Belkar Singh was yesterday jailed for more than 27 years for the murder of Satnam Singh Blugher in Halfway House, Shropshire in June 2017.
Commissioner John Campion said “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank all those involved in the case; West Mercia Police officers and staff, the Crown Prosecution Service and members of our local communities who came forward to support the investigation.
My thoughts remain with Mr Blugher’s family, and I hope they can find some comfort as justice has been served. As always I am committed to ensuring that our communities are safe and feel safe, by making sure our police are well resourced, and that partners are joined up to tackle serious crime. This case exemplifies this and the public should be reassured by the swift actions to apprehend the man responsible and bring him before the courts.”
