Bells ring out at Hereford Cathedral as Queen is commemorated

The bells have rung out 96 times at Hereford Cathedral this lunchtime.

Hundreds of churches across the United Kingdom rang their bells at midday to commemorate the Queen.

Gun salutes are happening now in locations including Hyde Park and Edinburgh Castle.

MPs are in the Commons, paying tribute to the Queen, who died yesterday at the age of 96.

The new prime minister, Liz Truss, said Her Majesty was "one of the greatest leaders the world has ever known".
