Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Hereford.
It happened outside the Tesco store on Bewell Street at around 7pm last Friday.
The victim had left the store and was walking down the path past the trolley park when he was approached by the suspect.
The suspect is believed to have punched the victim to the face, causing him to fall to the floor, before kicking him to the chest.
The victim, a man in his late 20s, suffered a deep cut to his face and bruising to his ribs. He was taken to hospital for treatment.
The suspect is described as a white male, of slim build and is believed to have been wearing a black top, a beanie hat and white trainers.
Enquiries are currently ongoing but officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the assault or was in the area at the time.
