Police are appealing for information following the death of a man in Hereford.
Police were called at around 2.20pm last Sunday afternoon to reports that a man had been found injured in Hereford town centre.
He was admitted to hospital, but sadly died at home yesterday.
The man has been named as 46-year-old Timothy Bassett from Hereford.
His death is currently being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing to establish the exact cause. A post mortem is due to take place.
Detective Inspector Mark Peters, based at Hereford Police Station, said: "We have begun an investigation into Timothy's death, which we are treating as unexplained pending the results of a post mortem.
"There are two main parts to the investigation; firstly, establishing how the injuries were caused and secondly, whether they contributed to his death.
"Timothy was well-known locally within the town and I would ask anyone who may have seen him on 22 April, or anyone that may have any information that could help with our enquiries, to please make contact."
