Police are appealing information following a serious collision on the A465.
The incident happened on Wednesday at around 2:40pm.
Officers received a report of a road traffic collision on the A465, near to the turning for Llanvihangel Crucorney in Abergavenny.
The collision involved a White Fiat Scudo transit van and a silver, Vauxhall Insignia.
The driver of the Fiat Scudo transit van, a 46 man from the Ebbw Vale area was taken to the University Hospital of Wales with serious injuries. He now remains in a stable condition.
The driver of the Vauxhall insignia, a 35 year old man from the Coventry area, sustained no injuries but was treated for shock at the scene.
Offers are now investigating and asking anyone with any information relating to the collision to contact Gwent Police on 101.
