One man has been arrested after a vehicle mounted the kerb and hit a pedestrian in Hereford on Wednesday.
Around 7pm on Edgar Street, the car – a white Vauxhall - mounted the kerb and collided with a 16-year-old boy who was walking on the pavement.
A second pedestrian moved out of the way before the impact.
The victim attended hospital with minor injuries.
It is believed that earlier on in the evening the driver of the vehicle had an altercation with the victim’s friend group and then followed them around on foot before getting into his car and deliberately driving it onto the kerb.
A 26-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and remains in police custody.
Detective Sergeant Leah Lowe from Hereford CID said: “We are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or has dashcam footage in the moments before.
“Given the time of the incident and location – near to The Courtyard on the junction of Moor Street – we believe there will be people who saw what happened and ask they get into contact.
“Please contact me via email, leah.lowe@westmercia.police.uk, or call 01432 347197 if you think you can help.”
