Agencies campaign to prevent heart-wrenching water tragedies

Agencies across West Mercia have relaunched the Home and Dry campaign on World Drowning Prevention Day, aiming to raise water safety awareness and prevent future tragedies. 

Backed by emergency services and families like that of Tom Jones—who drowned in the River Severn in 2018—the campaign promotes lifesaving advice like the "Float to Live" technique. 

Events in Worcester and Ironbridge today include live demos and new educational videos. 

The public is urged to stay water-aware and help save lives.
