Acton Scott Historic Working Farm has proven to be a huge hit since reopening, and completely sold out on the first three weekends with tickets flying off the metaphorical shelves.

The popular site reopened its doors to the public on Friday 7 August 2020 following a nine month closure caused by its seasonal nature and lockdown restrictions.

Since reopening, 790 people have visited Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, the maximum possible.

Sarah Green, facility manager at Acton Scott Historic Working Farm, said: “We’re delighted and really grateful with how people have responded to us reopening. We have been sold out every weekend even when we’ve increased the tickets available, and visitors have been telling us that they feel really safe while with us. We worked really hard to reopen safely so this means a lot to us.

“Tickets have been selling out quickly and are already limited for August Bank Holiday weekend so if you want to visit book quickly to avoid disappointment.”

Lezley Picton, Shropshire Council’s Cabinet member for culture, leisure, waste and communications, said: “The reopening of Acton Scott Historic Working Farm and our other sites has gone extremely well and everyone has been following the rules in place to keep people safe.

“I’m so pleased that families, both local and visiting, are now able to enjoy days out at stunning places like Acton Scott which has so much to offer.”

The number of tickets available each weekend will continue to be reviewed.
