The A49 at Onibury has re-opened following an earlier tanker fire.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service sent two crews from Church Stretton and Craven Arms to the scene at just before 2pm.
The closure caused long delays for motorists before one lane was opened by police past the scene.
The road was fully re-opened at 4:15pm.
