This year’s Hereford River Carnival which will take place online on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th September.

Billed as a ‘Stay-at-Home Carnival like never before’, the virtual event will feature many of the regular Carnival performers brought together on a special web platform.

The fun will begin on Friday night with a special red carpet premiere night.

Get your glad rags on, grab the popcorn, and make a special Carnival cocktail created by Hereford’s Café Babar.

Expect a night of films featuring one of the highlights of this year's virtual carnival which has been specially commissioned by the Arts Council England. A film featuring six giant heads of Hereford heroes from the past 100 years including singer Ellie Goulding and Hereford United legend Ronnie Radford.

The carnival fun on Saturday will begin at 12pm featuring the famous Nozstock stage, RSPCA Fun Pet Show, Hereford favourites the Beefy Boys, 3Degreez Cheerleaders and Westons Cider will also feature.

Thus year's virtual event will go ahead thanks to the support of Harrison Clark Rickerbys, ABC Print, Hereford City Council, Sunshine Radio and DM Lab.

“The Carnival is a highlight in the Herefordshire calendar.  Despite Covid-19, we wanted to create an online occasion that showcases everything that is brilliant about Herefordshire – just like the actual event,” said organiser, Rebecca Huggett.
