Job Title: Support Worker 

Job Summary

The Support Worker will be responsible for providing support and care to people with learning disabilities. This role enables the people we support to have choices in the way they live, work and learn. 

Responsibility

• Assist our supports with shopping, preparing meals, looking after their home, socialising and personal care
• Assist in the development and maintenance of all support plans 
• Assist people to manage and administer their medication
• Assist people we support with their day to day activities at home, at work and within the community
• Support people to live safely in their own home, pay bills and ensure the person’s home and belongings are looked after
• Support people with their personal care and appearance
• Look into opportunities for the people we support
• Contribute your ideas to the Thera team to ensure a good service for each person being supported
• Involve the people we support in their care and share good practice with the rest of the team
• Positively contribute to the organisations values and brand
• Assist in the creation of support plans and other administration task
• Preform any other reasonable task as requested by your line manager

Requirements:

• Committed to supporting ordinary living for people with a learning disability
• Drivers licence is desirable
• Basic level of English and Math
• Flexible to work some bank holidays, weekends and evenings
