Upper Teme Business Park officially launches, boosting local business opportunities in Tenbury Wells. We sent Chris Blumer to find out more.

Tenbury Wells celebrated a significant milestone in its economic regeneration as Upper Teme Business Park officially opened its doors on Friday 19th October 2025. Stuart Anderson MP cut the ceremonial red tape, marking the launch of this state-of-the-art commercial development. Sunshine Radios Chris Blumer popped along to chat to representatives who attended, and get a feel for this exciting new development.
 
The new development offers 23 high-specification commercial units, designed to encourage economic growth, innovation, and employment in Tenbury Wells and the surrounding area. The launch was a key moment for the local community, following the announcement of the upcoming closure of Kerry Manufacturing’s factory in February 2026, which had raised concerns about job losses and economic impact.

Owner Amy Butterfield said:

Phase 1 of the development, comprising seven lettings, had already been secured prior to the official launch, with tenants moving in and contributing to the area’s economic vitality. Stuart Anderson MP added:

Small and medium-sized businesses are the backbone of our economy, and developments like this give them the space and support they need to thrive. I look forward to seeing these units fully occupied, creating jobs, boosting our local economy and strengthening our community for years to come. Upper Teme Business Park offers versatile units ranging from 750 to 6,250 square feet, providing a prime, gated location for small and medium-sized businesses. Its strategic location just off the A456, combined with a strong commitment to supporting local enterprise, positions the park as a central hub for economic recovery and growth in the region.
