About Black Mountain Fabric

My name is Andrea and I am passionate about fabrics!

I have been sewing for as long as I can remember, and have always been involved in a wide range of multi-media crafts.

From dressmaking to cross stitch, jewellery design to paper-craft…I’ve tried it all! During my creative career I was always led towards textiles, and became fascinated by patchwork and its continuing evolution – it is now my primary choice of craft. I find working with patchwork very therapeutic and love exploring different techniques and patterns.

Black Mountain Fabric was set up after I saw a need for a fresh look at high quality patchwork and dressmaking cottons.

The aim of Black Mountain Fabric is to share a range of beautiful materials including; 100% high thread count cottons, leatherette, 30% wool felt, dressmaking netting and jersey, linen, linen blends and a small selection of poly-mixes. Our collection is a true reflection of our eclectic tastes – ranging from sweet, ditsy prints to bright, bold, modern patterns. Black Mountain Fabric is here to challenge the norm, whilst staying sympathetic to the origins of traditional crafts.
