Woman dies in motorbike crash

Police are appealing for information following a fatal road collision that happened yesterday evening on the A465 between Ebbw Vale and Brynmawr .

The collision happened at around 7:30pm and involved a blue Yamaha motorcycle that was carrying a rider and a passenger.

The passenger, a 27 year old woman from the Tredegar area, sadly passed away at the scene.

The rider, a 56 year old man, also from the Tredegar area, was taken to the University Hospital of Wales with serious injuries.

Investigators are currently on the scene and the road will remain closed until around lunchtime today.
