Investigating officers are appealing for witnesses to a collision in Herefordshire to come forward.
It happened on the Blue Mountain road between Kington and the A438 close to Whitney on Wye at around 9pm on Friday (29 September) and involved a black Audi A4.
The vehicle is understood to have left the carriageway, collided and ended up in a ditch.
The driver of the Audi - a 30-year-old man - suffered serious head injuries and was taken to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital in Birmingham.
Enquiries are currently ongoing but police would like to speak with any witnesses to the incident or people who saw the vehicle and the manner in which it was being driven prior to the collision.
