Two teenagers have been arrested after a girl was assaulted in the grounds of Hereford Cathedral.
It’s believed the assault happened on Friday 3 January at around 5.50pm.
Two girls, aged 16 and 15, have been arrested on suspicion of assault occasioning bodily harm and released under investigation.
Enquiries are on-going to identify the victim.
PC Martin Gillett from the local Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “This was an horrific attack on a girl by two others and we’d ask the girl or her parents to get in contact with us so we can check she is ok.
“Two teenagers have been arrested as our enquiries continue and I would ask if anyone has any information that they get in touch with us, either by emailing the Hereford Southside Safer Neighbourhood Team via email herefordsouthside.snt@westmercia.police.uk or phoning PC Davies on 07817 158224.”
