Tributes have been paid to a Monmouthshire councillor who has died.
David Dovey was a councillor for St Kingsmark in Chepstow. He served the role for 12 years.
In a statement, Monmouthshire County Council said: "David was passionate about all aspects of the council and representing his constituents."
"He also chaired the strategic transport group on the council and was instrumental in developing the group to address traffic concerns across the county."
Monmouth MP David Davies said: "Sad to hear of the passing of our good friend David Dovey."
"Will miss his views, warmth and playful humour. Chepstow and Monmouthshire has lost a good friend and champion."
