Thousands honour Ollie at Ross-on-Wye festival

Thousands gathered for the annual Ollie Fest in Ross-On-Wye over the Bank Holiday weekend.

“OllieFest 2018 broke all previous attendance records as locals turned out make this Ross-on-Wye Event a fantastic success!” Said organizer and founder of the event, Gavin Oates.

Olliefest was set up in 2015 in memory of Ollie Floyd, who died in March of the same year and the event has grown significantly year-by-year.

For the second year running OllieFest was held over three consecutive days over the August Bank Holiday weekend on the Rugby Ground in Ross-on-Wye, culminating in a spectacular firework display on Sunday evening.

The event’s growing reputation brought thousands of visitors from Monmouth, Ledbury, Hereford and the Forest of Dean.
 
Highlights were the Serial Killaz, and tributes from Dolly Parton, Robbie Williams, UB40, Ed Sheeran and Coldplay.
  
“We’re already planning for an even bigger and better event for next year.” Said Gavin Oates.
