Families can step back in time at a free Viking Activity Day in Herefordshire next month.
The event takes place at Ewyas Harold Craft Centre on Saturday 4 October, from 10am to 4pm, with re-enactments, Viking games, craft activities, treasure replicas and more.
It’s part of the Revealing Our Roots project, celebrating the county’s rich history, including the dramatic Herefordshire Hoard discovery.
Damian Etheraads, Head of Culture, Museums, Galleries and Archives at Herefordshire Council, said:
“This event will be a fantastic way for individuals and families to step into the world of the Vikings. The Herefordshire Hoard is one of the most remarkable treasure finds of recent times and shows how national events touched life here in dramatic ways.”
The project is supported by the Esmée Fairbairn Collections Fund.
