Children at Haberdashers' Monmouth Schools (HMS) will be performing a special choral and orchestral concert in Hereford Cathedral on Tuesday 28th March at 7.30pm.
The HMS choirs as well as all Year 7 pupils will be singing John Rutter's Requiem, which promises to be a highlight in a celebration of music-making at an historic Marches venue.
Hereford Cathedral is home to the Mappa Mundi, the city's famous medieval map that shows how scholars interpreted the world more than 700 years ago.
Alongside the Symphonic Winds and Senior Strings, HMSSO (Haberdashers' Monmouth Schools' Symphony Orchestra), will be playing Beethoven's Egmont Overture, The Good, the Bad and the Ugly by Morricone and Eric Coates' effervescent Calling All Workers march.
Doors will open at 7pm and tickets, costing £8 or £5 concessions, are available from: www.herefordcathedral.org/Event/haberdashers-monmouth-schoolsconcert
