Monmouthshire County Council has reinstated free school transport for pupils travelling from St Arvans to The Dell Primary after an independent review deemed the walking route unsafe.
The decision follows a residents’ petition.
Assessments of two other routes, from Mathern to Chepstow Comprehensive and Caldicot to Archbishop Rowan Williams Primary, were upheld as safe, meaning transport will not be provided.
