Herefordshire Council says its Trading Standards team has helped shut down scam websites targeting a local business.
The sites were impersonating Hearwell Ltd, a company providing hearing support services.
Working with the National Trading Standards eCrime Team, officers identified serious issues including misleading claims and missing legal information.
Customers reported receiving poor-quality imitation products and struggling to get refunds.
Two websites using the Hearwell name have now been suspended.
Barry Durkin said the case highlights the importance of protecting both consumers and legitimate businesses.
Trading Standards is urging people to check websites carefully before making purchases and be wary of deals that seem too good to be true.
