Police are alerting residents in Monmouthshire following reports of scam callers attempting to obtain bank details and defraud sums of money.
The callers claim to be from a "serious fraud unit".
The bogus calls have asked victims for account details and have attempted to coerce people into withdrawing sums of money from their bank accounts.
