Police are alerting residents in Monmouthshire following reports of scam callers attempting to obtain bank details and defraud sums of money.
The callers claim to be from a "serious fraud unit".
The bogus calls have asked victims for account details and have attempted to coerce people into withdrawing sums of money from their bank accounts.
Gwent Police will never ask for your financial details or request money.
