A headteacher has submitted plans to extend a school hall in Ross-on-Wye.
Hayley Francis, headteacher at St Joseph’s Roman Catholic primary school, wants to create a pre-school room by extending the detached building.
The self-contained hall is currently used as a pre-school and the plans would allow for the creation of a dedicated room.
This would free up the actual hall which school leaders say will allow for a much improved use of the facility.
The building has 2892 sq ft of floor space and the extension would add another 807 sq ft to it.
Consultants working on the scheme say the proposed extension to the rear of the existing hall would have minimal impact on the school site and the surrounding neighbourhood.
Residents have until April 18 to comment on the plans which Herefordshire Council is expected to decide by April 29.
