There are plans for a new phone mast which will improve signal in the Ross-on-Wye area.
EE Ltd has asked Herefordshire Council for permission to install the new telecommunications mast at Hill Farm communication station, off Fernbank road.
The scheme aims to upgrade the existing mast to provide enhanced 4G coverage across the area.
The plans do not benefit from permitted development rights because the mast is situated within the Wye Valley area of outstanding natural beauty.
The new equipment will be located at the existing mast and base station.
Consultants working on the scheme say it will have very little overall visual or environmental impacts.
Local residents have until April 10 to comment on the proposals on the council’s planning portal website.
The council is expected to consider the scheme by April 15.
