A person has been taken to hospital by air ambulance following a serious crash on a major road in Monmouthshire.
Emergency services were called to the scene of a serious road traffic collision which occurred on the Northbound carriageway of the A40, adjacent to the services at Raglan at approximately 10:50am Sunday 14th May 2017.
Officers and colleagues from the Welsh Ambulance Service and Air Ambulance attended the collision which involved one vehicle, a blue Ford Fiesta and a pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Officers investigating the circumstances of this incident and are appealing for anyone who may been passing the location, witnessed the collision or have dashcam footage to contact Gwent Police on 101 quoting log 167 14/05/2017
