Ludlow's Tower Post Office will not be closing.
Tesco which owns the One Stop Shop said there will be a change to the service but have reassured customers the Post Office will remain open.
The Post Office counter will be moved closer to the till and make better use of retail space to enhance store operations.
Opening hours will also be extended once the conversion has been completed.
Last week, Ludlow Town Council claimed Tesco were planning to shut the Post Office branch in the next two months.
