A new museum has opened telling the story of Bishop's Castle Railway.
The Weighbridge Railway Museum in Station Street opened to the public today following four years of work.
Volunteers say they will continue to curate the interior of the building and acquire original local railway artefacts whenever they become available.
A spokesperson for BCR said: "The area surrounding the building is becoming a really useable space for displays and seating. Although there is still lots to do on site, we are now able to hold events, which not only bring in much needed funds, but significantly raises the profile of the Society."
Regular opening is currently restricted to 11am to 3om on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday in every month.
The museum will be open this weekend between 11am and 4pm as part of the national Heritage Open Days scheme.
