Monmouthshire County Council shares results from the residents survey

During the Autumn of 2024, Monmouthshire County Council conducted a residents survey on everyday life in Monmouthshire.

Hosted by Data Cymru, the survey was part of their National Residents Survey, designed to support local councils in increasing their understanding of performance and perception.

Residents were asked about their experiences in the local area, their views on the council’s services, and how we, as a council, can improve things.

Thanks to the engagement from residents, we received 1,465 responses.

Monmouthshire County Council’s Cabinet Member for Equalities and Engagement, Cllr Angela Sandles, said: “Thank you to all the residents who took the time to complete the survey. Your feedback allows us to better understand what you find the council is doing well and what we need to do to improve our services.

“We are committed to engaging with and listening to residents across Monmouthshire.”

In January 2025, the council launched its new engagement platform, Let’s Talk Monmouthshire. The platform will serve as a central hub for the council’s various engagement activities, discussions and consultations.

Let’s Talk Monmouthshire represents face-to-face events, forums, people’s panels and printed materials, ensuring all residents and partners can engage with the council.
